Survivor: Exile Island is the twelfth season of the popular reality TV show, Survivor. It originally aired in 2006 and featured 16 contestants who were divided into four tribes at the beginning of the game. One unique twist of this season was the introduction of Exile Island, where a contestant would be sent to live alone for a period of time, away from their tribe.
On Exile Island, contestants had the opportunity to search for hidden immunity idols, which could help them in the game by protecting them from elimination at tribal council. The season also featured the return of the classic "Exile Island" twist, where one contestant from the winning tribe would have to choose someone from the losing tribe to send to Exile Island.
The eventual winner of Survivor: Exile Island was Aras Baskauskas, a yoga instructor from California. He beat out fellow finalists Danielle DiLorenzo and Terry Deitz to claim the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollar prize.
